Repairs of Priests’ Rectory in Naroosura, Kenya

Project Leader:

Reverend Ambrose Musyoka

Naroosura is one of 35 parishes in the Diocese of Ngong which covers the entire region of Maasai land in Kenya. Naroosura parish covers geographical area of 1859.8 Sq. Kms and population of about 38,000. The rectory, built by the late Father Angelo Insam, in 2003 needs major repairs. The foundation has considerable cracks, painting is peeling, doors and windows are loose. These current conditions along with a compromised sewage system is very dangerous and unfit for priests to live in and or welcome parishioners. Please consider helping—$25 helps buy paint and other supplies.

Dear missio community, Peace and all good. I continually thank all of you for your donations and prayers. As you can see in our project application wall we have only received only $80 which is equivalent to ksh 80,000 and our rectory repair project is costing ksh500,000. So you can see we are still very far to achieve our targets.Out local Maasai community are nomadic, they keep moving from one place to another for the search of pastures and water for their livestock. This is the major reason for asking for help from missio community, the lack of local community financial support due to low financial income. This clearly portrayed in the photos posted where all parish projects are externally funded. The parish is still pre evangelized hence embarking on the primary evangelization. I therefore ones again make a humble appeal to you all to continue supporting this project so that the priests can have a safe dwelling place for them to be able to serve God’s people.
