The Late Rt. Rev. Archbishop Louis Joseph Cabana established The Institute of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Reparatrix (IHMR) to be a community of women able to boldly respond to the contemporary world and evangelize through word and deed. With this in mind, the IHMR sisters live in humility, charity and courage. IHMR Sisters serve in 21 schools, 9 hospitals and operate ministries that include a Bakery that provides employment to local abandoned youth, and inter-religious dialogue programs to promote peaceful co-existence and co-operation between Christians and people from other religious traditions in Uganda.What the IHMR sisters are doing is working. Each year more and more young women join their holy and innovative charism. the Institute of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The postulant community is the first stage of joining and professing vows as an IHMR sister. Sister Justine and the postulants are raising money to build a small poultry farm to be more self-sustaining financially and help feed their community. Just $20 helps the IHMR sisters continue their amazing ministries.
