A Cup of Milk for Seminarians in Uganda

Project Leader:

Reverend Charles Ssennyondo

Seminarians at St. Mary's National Seminary Ggaba in Uganda come from poor families. Despite hardships they have answered the call and seek the priesthood. However, they also face the reality of room and board costs as well as paying tuition for their formation. The good news is that St. Mary’s Seminary has a dairy farm with (8) milking cows. There is a need to purchase (3) in-calf high breed cows that can give at least (5) gallons of milk daily. This project will undertake the purchase of cows and the general care with veterinary services and medication. Reliable milk production will be beneficial all around—providing income and adding healthy nutrition choice to all the seminarians. Please help the seminarians at St. Mary's National Seminary Ggaba in Uganda complete their studies and sustain a cost of living with milk production.

Our esteemed supporters, we would like heartily thank you for your generosity. Thank you so much for supporting the Mission of Christ in Uganda. You support helped us do so much on our farm. We were able to purchase four incalf cows, we were able to feed and treat our cows throughout the year so that we were able to get very good yields. We were able to reach our goal of providing a cup of milk to every seminarians each day they were at school. Because the coronavirus pandemic sent them home for many months, the excess milk was able to feed the children in a baby's home close to the seminary. This baby's home is called Nsambya Baby's Home. It takes in abandoned babies and children. Thank you again for your generosity and may the good Lord reward most abundantly! Fr. Charles Ssennyondo
