Provide School Supplies in Cameroon

Project Leader:

Sister Mewoulou Marie Thérèse Brigit

Do you remember how excited you used to get about back to school supplies? Hope Center in Yaounde, Cameroon, cares for children left without families because of the AIDS epidemic in Cameroon. Sister Brigit and her staff has done so since the late 1990’s. Sadly, many of these abandoned children drop out of schools because they have no one to help them pay for school fees and purchase those necessary and enjoyable new school supplies. Sister Brigit believes that if given the same opportunity, the children in her care will achieve as much or more than their more privileged classmates. $25 buys one child a backpack filled with coloring books, pencils, erasers, and all that good stuff.
