Restoring a church in Chile

Project Leader:

Mr. Vicente Ramos

Saint Bonaventure was known as a master of practical life. His wisdom, but also his humility and simplicity, made him unique. The small wooden church in Los Lagos, Chile, named for this Doctor of the Church is similarly simple and unique. The humble church has sustained some wear and tear in its almost 100 years of history serving the rural community. When the wooden bell tower began to show signs of structural weakness, Mr. Vicente Ramos and the community of Buenaventura knew that it was time to go to the MISSIO community to ask for help. Named for this Franciscan saint, the parish of Buenaventura continues in the Franciscan spirit to serve the marginalized. The many families that serve the historic parishes are eager to repair the entire old church. The bell tower is the first step. Show your support for the parish of Buenaventura. Give $20 to help secure the belfry.
