Greg Mitchell is raising money for the St. Francis Emmaus Pregnancy hostel in Cartago, Costa Rica that serves mothers and infants from indigenous communities. The small staff there saves lives daily. St. Francis Emmaus provides access to medical care for women and infants who live in remote mountain areas several days journey from any other clinics. These vulnerable women can stay in the hostel under the care of trained staff during the tender days before and after birth, and during a child's illness. In addition to medical care, housing, and meals, St. Francis Emmaus provides spiritual formation and support for mothers for a year after a child’s birth.
