Help Secure Water in Tanks in Uganda

Project Leader:

Reverend Denes Bomukama

A real and significant challenge for the community at large and students of neighboring school is lack of clean water. The school itself is located in a rural area and children must walk long distances, especially during dry seasons to collect water. The cost of paying for water from commercial suppliers is exorbitantly high. Collecting water in tanks would prove practical and cost efficient. Rainwater use would improve sanitation and prevent water borne diseases. Please help the children and the community benefit from secure water consumption. A gift of $25 will help buy refillable water bottles.

In the dry seasons, water becomes scarce and the children have to walk to fetch water in valley, swamp. It's risky because children can slip off the bank of the pond and drown, it inconveniences their teaching and learning in school and walking in the bushes to look for water exposes them to dangerous species like snakes. We shall therefore buy a big water pump of $ 2,777 and Use $ 1723 to buy big plastic water tanks. This will be a sufficient water project to help the school have clean water in all seasons. We appreciate your donations towards this project and we continue to request for more help to raise more money for the mentioned cause.
