Keep Priest Formation Going in Kenya

Project Leader:

Reverend Douglas Mwija

Training seminarians in basic management operations. Roles in activities of the seminary that included oversight, basic accounting, farming, taking care of pigs and dairy cattle. Following the spread of Covid-19 the government of Kenya gave out directives to close all the institutions including our seminary, St. Matthias Mulumba. Tele-formation is being pursued. All of these events have affected the production of our products including provision of labor, workers and market of our produce. We are suffering because the seminary is a house of formation whose objective is to form future priests for our country and beyond. This formation is integral which covers intellectual formation, social formation and spiritual formation. The spread of covid-19 is greatly affecting this vital formation.
