Sustain Community Employment in Nigeria

Project Leader:

Reverend Kenneth Adesina

Ss. Peter and Paul Major Seminary in Nigeria has an integrated farm and needs support. Father Kenneth Adesina is the project leader and has over 30 years of experience on the farm—crop production and livestock. He has been involved in mentoring and offering agricultural extensive assistance to youth and young farmers. The Covid – 19 Pandemic is having a dire effect on the suffering rural people of the surrounding communities. Sustaining projected cultivations, taking adequate care of the animals in its stalls, avoiding streaming down the labor force, while the nation is facing a lockdown, means financial support is critical. The prohibition of random movement means public means of transportation are suspended and workers cannot move around freely. The need is to assist workers who must move around, not just to get to work, but also in sourcing for feeds and materials used on the farm. In response to the mission of the Church, help is needed to reduce the hunger of the people who are witnesses to the Gospel addressed as a Church. The local communities have goodwill.
