Project Leader:
Sister Angeline Kelly
Sisters of Mary of Kakamega Babiton farm near Kitale Town in Kenya, also includes Emmanuel Primary School and a residence for the Sisters. The main objective of the farm is to grow high quality produce to sustain the community around and the Sisters in the community. Due to the challenges of COVID-19, the farm is finding it difficult to support workers, get in touch with customers, purchase agricultural inputs for the farm, and get fuel for the tractor, as well as continue regular outreach and care for the surrounding community. Funds will be used to purchase scarce farm inputs, increase the hiring of workers to provide job opportunities to local families, setup health stations and congregation run schools, and provide food for families affected by the pandemic.
