Build a New Church in India

Project Leader:

Reverend Monsignor Lucio Mascarenhas

Immaculate Conception is one of the oldest parishes in the Diocese of Belgaum in India. It was founded in 1826 by Goan migrants. Goans are a unique ethnic and linguistic group in India with Indo-Portuguese and Austro-Asiatic ancestry. Today, thanks to a vibrant and growing faith, the historic church building is too small to house the faithful. Father Lucio is raising money to build a larger church and has already started asking local families to contribute what their means will allow.
