Youth Technology Empowerment Program, Uganda

Project Leader:

Mr. Ronald Sentamu

Lack of access to information and communication technologies (ICT) has remained a major challenge to youth in our community especially in rural areas of Kigoma Village in Muwanga sub-county Kiboga district Uganda. The rate of access to ICT is the lowest in the country where there are more than 7000 young people in Kiboga District that, do not have access to ICT and amongst them more than 80% do not even know the simplest tasks in the computer medium. Families in the rural village of Kigoma do not have steady work to support their families. We see an urgent need to provide resources and train youth how to use a computer. This project is necessary for the development of the young people in Kiboga district at Kigoma Primary School. Please consider supporting this project so that impressionable young people can be trained on digital skills. A gift of $25 can help jumpstart a local ecommerce business.
