Education for Displaced Children, Cameroon

Project Leader:

Reverend Ndichia Anthony

Father Ndichia Anthony of the Mill Hill Missionaries in the Archdiocese of Bamenda is leading the efforts to help displaced children receive an education. As project leader, he needs financial support to start this program that will provide tangible services, like nutritious meals, school supplies, and spiritual support. Some of the children have never attended classes and it will take some adjusting. Father Anthony hopes this program transforms the children in this community, improving their livelihood and offers hope for a better future. Living, knowing God loves all his children will open doors. Your gift of $25 will help one child attend school.

Back To School 2022: Missio USA Equips Needy Children In Bamenda. Over 100 needy Primary and Secondary School children, mostly orphans and the physically challenged have successfully returned to school in Bamenda thanks to the kind gesture of Missio USA. The children received didactic materials comprising of books, pens, pencils, rulers and sharpeners that help prepared them for the start of the school year. The event that took place at St Edmund’s Catholic Church Mulang saw Father Anthony Ndang giving hope to disillusioned kids whose hope of going back to school was a far fetch dream. Speaking at the donation event, Rev Fr Anthony Ndang cautioned the beneficiaries to be discipline and determined in their studies: “I want to urge you all to work hard in your studies so that one day some of you can become medical doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers, nurses etc. I appreciate the donors and supporters of Missio USA whose generosity has paved a future and added value to our children and their families. Remember that Discipline and determination is the key to success" said Father Anthony Ndang. According to Awah Bradley a 15 year Form Five student, going back to school on his part is now guaranteed thanks to the donation. "I want to thank Missio USA for assisting me with books, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners. I'm so happy and grateful; it will enable me to start school, especially during this period of the ongoing crisis. May God continue to bless and protect all the donors for the marvellous work they are doing" he said The sixth year conflict in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon have left many school children helpless each time it’s back to school. Some have been displaced, some abandoned without parents and others forced to now live with a one form of disability. As the struggle to keep children in school continues, initiatives like that of Missio USA have continued to wipe away tears from the eyes of most families and kids in Bamenda. Keep a child at
