The Leo House is a nonprofit Catholic guesthouse dedicated to offering affordable and temporary accommodations. Originally established and based in the Battery Park area of New York in 1889 by papal certification by Pope Leo XIII, The Leo House moved in 1926 to 23rd Street in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. The novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19 caused a financial strain and the struggle to keep up with operating expenses remains particularly because conducting business is not at full capacity. Holy Mass is offered daily, and the risk of the spread of any virus is higher in poorly ventilated spaces. The road to fully reopening is in sight, but funding remains critical. At the moment, there is an urgent need to upgrade air conditioning system which will improve ventilation. Please consider helping this project so that we can prepare and accommodate missionaries.
