Pope Francis put it best: "The Pontifical Mission Societies serve the Church's universality as a global network of support for the Pope in his missionary commitment by prayer, the soul of mission, and charitable offerings from Christians throughout the world."
Our brothers and sisters in mission territories, meaning, in those places around the world where the Catholic Church is too young, too poor, or is actively persecuted and unable to sustain itself, need our help.

You can send them life-giving hope and sustaining love through the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, an effort that began 201 years ago in France, when Blessed Pauline Marie Jaricot, a lay woman, heard about the Missions of her day and organized friends into “circles of 10,” with each person offering daily prayer and weekly gifts to the Missions. The United States was one of those missions in Blessed Pauline’s time, and it was able to grow thanks to the generosity of her friends.

Today Pauline’s legacy of love and hope provides for the Missions of Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and remote regions of Latin America and Europe. With a gift to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, you can join Pauline’s continuing “circles,” sending love and hope to the Missions today, helping millions hear about Jesus Christ for the first time.
