The Gospel of Matthew describes the eyes as the lamp of the body. If the eyes are clear, the whole body will be full of light (Mt 6:22). Spiritually this can mean many things, but at a basic level losing the sense of sight is a difficult and scary experience. For a significant number of seniors and special needs patients in the rural villages of Taiwan, this is an experience they suffer alone. Rural villagers do not have access to eye care. For many of these patients, their lives would greatly improve with a simple pair of glasses. "See the Lord" is a Catholic non-profit that serves the underprivileged around the world by providing healthcare and Catholic ministry. Since 2011, See The Lord has helped over 5,000 people and provided over 2,000 pairs of glasses. A gift of $25 goes directly to providing prescription glasses, reading glasses, and sunglasses. Give $25 to help provide vision screenings to villagers in Taiwan.
