Build a Fence to Keep Kids Safe

Project Leader:

Sr. Kamondai Mary Njoki Njoki

Sister Kamondai Mary is the Head Teacher of Ikwera Negri School near Kampala, Uganda. Her Congregation, The Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu, took over the school with seventeen children enrolled. Ikwera Negri is a school for children with disabilities. The school welcomes children from all tribes, denominations, and backgrounds. Ikwere Negri provides classroom education and vocational training. Sister Kamondai Mary is raising money to build a fence around the small campus. The school offers both traditional education and vocational training. Right now, there is an urgent need to build a fence around the school to protect students from wild animals as well as to discourage robberies and break-ins. Sister hopes to raise enough funds to purchase construction materials. Members of the local community will provide the labor at no cost.
