Build a Church Roof in Pakistan

Project Leader:

Reverend Fr. Simon Khurshid

In the remote village of Toba Tek Singh in Punjab, Pakistan, several hundred families have gathered together to build a church of their very own. Families have already collected enough money to buy land, lay the foundation and raise the walls of the church. The Church will be named Ascension of Mary Catholic Church and be a part of the existing Sacred Heart Parish community. Most of these families are day laborers, some own their own rickshaws (bike taxis). All make just enough to feed their families and maintain simple homes. The community has turned to MISSIO in the hopes of raising funds to construct a room, plaster, paint an furnish the church. Just $20 will help cover costs associated with this final phase of construction.
