Build St. Pope JP II Youth Hall in Uganda

Project Leader:

Reverend Bonifasio Senteza

According to National Population and Housing Census report, 2014, Uganda has a total of 8 million young people aged between 18 and 30 years old. The project at hand is for the construction of a youth multi-purpose hall—St. Pope John Paul II in Katikamu Sub-county, Kibanvu Village. There are 15,000 youth living within the Diocese of Kasana-Luweero in Uganda, East Africa. The goal is for them to be involved in Liturgy, charity and development initiatives. That they may feel empowered to use their vigor and talents as strong instruments for evangelization. This hall would invite the youth and keep them from getting involved in illegal activities such as theft, gangs, and drugs. All they need is an appropriate platform, a safe, structured place of gathering where ideas can be generated, and an audience willing to listen and learn. St. Pope John Paul II Multi-Purpose Hall will comprise of a conference room, classrooms, room for arts and crafts, as well as general meeting places for larger gatherings for faith formation, as well as educational programs focusing on entrepreneurial skills, and leadership training. A donation of $25 helps secure the building permits for this apostolate.
