Project Leader:
Reverend Expedit Sserunjogi
MISSIO Project Leader, Father Expedit Sserunjogi explains that in his native Uganda, teachers in rural areas are more effective when they can live close to the schools in which they teach. That is why he is building staff housing for those who teach at St. Mary’s Nursery and Primary School in the Kayunga District. When complete, the building will accommodate four teachers. The local community has already contributed timber, sand and stones as well as labor. The only part that remains is the roof! A contribution of $25 will by two iron sheets for this project and ensure that the roof is weatherproof.
