Project Leader:
Reverend Bhaskar Raj Chinthamalla
Salesian Father Bhaskar Raj is seeking support for the Don Bosco Technical School in Gotanagar, India. The school was built on 12-acres of land bought with help from local Catholics. Today, the school provides nutritious meals and technical education to some of the poorest young people in the region. Here, students learn tailoring and data entry or can train to become mechanics or electricians. Students do their best to pay school fees and the Salesians try to help offset these costs by providing at least one meal a day to these young people. Without this support, many of the students might not eat at all because their families are so poor. Once they graduate, these students become vital support to their extended families as well as to the villages where they live.
