There are now 80,000 Akha and Lahu people living in Thailand's northern provinces on the mountain slopes bordering Myanmar. These indigenous hill tribes have fled civil wars in Burma and Laos. They live in remote villages made with natural materials. The nearest schools are many miles away. The Fang Catholic Mission provides transportation for 200 Akah and Lahu children to attend school. $20 helps pay for gas and maintenance.
