Bring Catholic Education to Burundi

Project Leader:

Miss Julia Desilets

Mariamante Academy is a Catholic school in the rural village of Mudende, Burundi. The school was started by dedicated laity who believe in a liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition. Initially started in the USA, Mariamante’s administration decided to start a sister school in Africa to assist young people in need overseas. The school in Mudende has the support of the local bishop and is sustained by the combined efforts of parents and friends in the USA and Burundi. Join this community bringing Catholic Education to Burundi. Give $50 to pay the tuition for one student all year. Any teachers out there? $100 pays a teacher for a month.
