Train Young Women as Peer Educators in Cameroon

Project Leader:

Sister Mewoulou Marie Thérèse Brigit

Sister Mewoulou is raising money to train young women who have been orphaned by the AIDs epidemic in Cameroon to be community organizers and educators to help reduce its spread. Hope Center in Yaounde cares for young people who have lost their families to AIDs, and has done so since the late 1990’s. HIV infections are increasing among young women in Cameroon. This project represents a grassroots effort to reduce its spread, especially mother-to-child transmissions. Sister Mewoulou’s young educators will learn confidence and communication skills, as well as instructional tools, risk mapping, and family planning. Give $25 to help reduce HIV/AIDs in Cameroon.
