Project Leader:
Sister Mewoulou Marie Thérèse Brigit
Sister Marie is raising money for Hope Center in Yaounde, Cameroon. Hope Center cares for children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic, and has done so since the late 1990’s. The fear, shame, stigma associated with HIV/AIDs is a heavy burden for children to bear. Due to the early loss of their parents, these young people shoulder that burden alone. As a result, they often shut down and isolate. Experiencing the simple joys of childhood offer the children in Sister Marie’s care healing through confidence building and socializing. Sister Marie is raising money to purchase sports equipment and organize recreation activities Hope Center has a space it plans on transforming into a game hall. Give $25 to help heal such terrible wounds through child-like play.
