Combating COVID – 19, Kenya

Project Leader:

Brother Patrick Njuguna

Brother Patrick Njuguna Ngugi is the project leader Combating COVID – 19, Kenya. The Brothers of St. Joseph are trying to do their part in helping the people in their community. There is a need to provide emergency food rations and sanitation items. Though there are hand washing points in strategic locations, distributing soap would help ensure the people always wash their hands. The area has been affected severely since the outbreak of COVID – 19 as the people are poor and struggle to secure food for their families and cannot afford to buy face masks. The support this project receives will help provide balanced meal and basic medical medicine and equipment. Brother Patrick and his fellow Brothers need help to reach out to those most in need. A gift of $25 would buy maize and milk.

Another food security intiative which is underway and about to kick of this week is transplant tomatoe tree to porithin paper bags. I want to plant tree tomatoes first bunch of 1000 trees in our farm. We shall be assisting the community and the brothers community with tarmaril frouts and juice which has very high in boosting the immunity in the body. It provide vitamins in the bondy. Below are tree tomatoes seeds I have propagated with ur danations. Secondly in the coming week the hens incubater with a capacity of hatching 300 chicks after 21 days will be delivered in our school. With this I will be able to support the community with chickens, encourage them to start poultry rearing in their farm. Thus they will be able to generate income for their own domestic purposes and as well feed their children with eggs which has very high nuitritinal value. Thanks for all those who has donated towards this initiatives.
