Building Water Tanks at Radio Maria, Uganda

Project Leader:

Reverend Joseph Luger

Father Joseph Luger of Radio Maria in the Diocese of Nebbi in Uganda hosts a variety of programs like Maria Night Prayer, offered on the last Friday of the month. The radio station lacks safe drinking water. It relies on a borehole which is, at times, under repair or dry. He wants to use the funds from this project to secure industrial water tanks to harvest rainwater. There are times when water is fetched from unprotected ponds also used by animals. The cost of pumping water on Jukia Hill, where they are located is extremely expensive. The communities of families with a population of about 800 children can benefit from financing water tanks. A gift of $25 can help buy water quality kits.
