Provide Schooling & Basic Care for Children, Ghana

Project Leader:

Sister Sister Monica Otoo

Ancilla School Wa has been in existence since 2010.The school founded by the Sisters of Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus, started as an early childhood educational center with 35 kids - ages 18 months - five years. Today, the school has a population of over 2000 children – from newborn to Junior High School. The school provides scholarships to about 500 pupils from very poor homes and educationally disadvantaged communities. The school is concerned about the total wellbeing of children and provides nutritional, emotional, spiritual, and health needs. Each day, children in the school are served a nutritious breakfast and staff eat as well. The school feeding programs serve as motivation for needy children do have access to quality education. Since March 15, schools in Ghana were asked to lockdown because of the pandemic. Our children who were safe and nourished are suffering hunger and deprivation. The sisters have lost their source of livelihood and can no longer support them. We want to be there for our kids in this time of difficulty and exposure. We want to provide at least one nutritious meal for them. We need your assistance to support our ministry to vulnerable children during this pandemic.

Fr Mike, thanks so much for joining forces with us in our efforts to make quality Catholic education accessible to otherwise deprived kids. Our kids love schooling, and with your support, they will surely stay, participate and suceed at learning. Your kind donation will be used to purchase school uniforms for two kids who desperately need them. God reward your generosity.

Thank you Sandra for making us so happy. Your kindness will also put a smile on the face of a needy child. Without our support, life is hard for them, especially now that schools are closed to the pandemic. School was there for them. Your donation will be used to provide food for a child for a whole month. God bless and reward you abundantly.

Thanks Mark, for supporting a good cause - contributing to the education and care of needy and disadvantaged kids. With our support, we can help make a difference in their lives. Away from school, because of the covid, life is hard for them - care is inadequate. Your donation will provide food for two kids for a month. God bless your kindness.

Edwin, thanks for coming to our aid once again. We are grateful. We need all the help to make life a bit comfortable and bearable for innocent children who must suffer throughout childhood. All they ask for is care and education and with you there and us here, we can ensure that they are given just that. God reward you even more.
