Sister Sr Thacianna Mukashyaka
The Sisters of Penance of St. Francis in the Diocese of Gikongoro in Rwanda operate a center for children with disabilities. The children use special equipment and need individual attention as well as physical therapy that offers living with dignity. Medical consultations and subsequent treatment are critical each time a child is brought to the center. The Sisters strive to provide these services with the help of the community and local organizations but are facing additional financial challenges brought by the measures in place to fight and stop the spread of COVID – 19. The Sisters take care of the children and show them God’s love, but with ever increasing needs they seek support to secure food, clothes, medicine, and social services. A donation of $25 will help purchase crutches.
