Covid-19 Emergency Appeal (Phase III), Pakistan

Project Leader:

Reverend Moon Op Fr. Iftikhar

The Christian Community of St. Dominic Parish, Bahawalpur is mostly daily wagers and brick kiln. COVID-19 has exposed the vulnerability and poverty of Christians in the country, while the long terms impacts are yet to be evaluated. In the backdrop of COVID – 19, communities, particularly daily wage workers, laborers and job holders have lost their jobs or have reported reduced income. Other groups affected by the ramifications are teachers, people with disabilities, and expectant mothers. Resources are difficult to acquire and distribute accordingly due to so many limitations amplified by the economic downfall, after almost a year of living with the pandemic. The community reaches out the Church and project leader, Father Iftikhar Moon OP, seeks support. A donation of $50 will buy a food package and medicine for a family of five.
