Brother Br. John Mwangi Wambugu
The Brothers of St. Joseph Motherhouse have been using Hydraulic ram pump for the last 75 years. This commonly referred to as hydram pump. It is renewable energy that uses water to pump water. This water is used in Motherhouse for domestic, livestock, irrigation and for dispensary. Hydram technology is a fantastic renewable energy solution, but it requires high-volume water source to operate effectively. It uses the force of water flowing down the drive pipe: to fit water to a maximum height above the hydram of 200 meters without external source of power. The pump can operate continuously for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hydrams are made of metal. The acute challenge the Brothers are facing is vandalism by scrap metal dealers that sell the metals. The Brothers want to re-install three more pumps, replace the metallic pipes with High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) 16 and build a reinforced concrete chamber with a bugler proof door. This water will be enough for the dispensary and for irrigation and share with the community. Please consider supporting this project.

Thank you all 57 contributes to the donation of Renewable Energy Water Pumping Phase II. I also thank Missio team for the good work and my Bishop his Grace Anthony Muheria for supporting and approving. You have all sacrificed something during this Lenten Season and also you marked World Water day in a special way with us. May God bless you abundantly.
