Project Leader:
Pope Francis
One year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine — which has displaced a third of the nation’s 41 million people, killed, scarred and wounded tens of thousands of both soldiers and civilians, and devastated the country’s infrastructure and economy, we are still called to help the people of what Pope Francis has called this "martyred nation."On Ash Wednesday, Pope Francis pointed out that the toll of dead, wounded, refugees, and displaced persons, destruction, and economic and social damage product of the invasion of Ukraine speaks for itself. We are called to see the suffering and touch the wound of the Ukrainian people, constantly praying for peace in this and other countries afflicted by war and contributing in whatever way we can.Every cent donated through Missio.org will go directly into the hands of those who need it most, fulfilling our call to feed the hungry and give water to the thirsty. During this season of Lent, would you consider helping the people of Ukraine?
