Marumpampa is a small rural community located in the province of Muñecas near La Paz in Bolivia. It takes at least nine hours to ride there by car because of the difficult roads. The trip can take twelve hours in bus. Most of its 78 villagers spend an average of two hours walking to and from their fields to work. Children in the small villages surrounding Marumpampa also walk long distances to attend school and receive medical care. Doctors and nurses only visit Marumpampa when there are regional health campaigns. Sister Ann Fearday, ASC has been a missionary in Bolivia for 40 years. Now she does the trek to Marumpampa once a month. Sister Ana leads the Integral Health Foundation Blood of Christ and she and the foundation have started a school garden with the children and built a small chapel center for workshops and pastoral care. Sister Ann is raising money to improve the small medical clinic she built in 2014. Give $25 to support her work with the people of Marumpampa to make the village more self-sufficient.
