Project Leader:
Reverend Johnson Francis
There are 300 students at Sacred Heart Village Mission in Gidruha village in Uttar Pradesh, India. The students and their families are from minority ethnic tribes called, Kol and live in the forest areas of Uttar Pradesh and Madya Pradesh. These families are completely dependent on the forest and agriculture to survive. There is very little employment or other opportunities available. Kols, especially the young, suffer from malnutrition and general hunger. Fr. Francis is raising money to provide meals to his students at the Mission. Basic meals will improve their health, their education, as well as the future of this next generation. $2.00 feeds one student for the day.

Dear all, I am happy to inform you all the project feed children in India is going on well. The number of students increased coming to the school, even small kids are coming to the school. We are happy that alone with food our children are receiving the basic right of education. We also celebrated the Children's Day on 14th November. It was a good occasion for the children to bring out their talents and we appreciated their talents and distributed gifts to the children.
