Free Medical Camps in Kenya

Project Leader:

Reverend Fr. Silas Mwiti

There is a great need to be able to provide free screening for diabetes, hypertension and cancers. The community lacks awareness and possible causes. With education and assessments, the people could prevent and or treat these serious medical conditions. A sure deterrent is cost involved. Please help organize and staff these free screening camps.

On behalf of Consolata Hospital Nkubu i wish to thank Missio in a special way for assisting us reach the poor in need and offer the essential services. During this year ending 2021, the facility has felt the side effects of Covid 19. The community we serve had been rendered poor due to loss of Jobs and people offering supportive services in the small scale farming for domestic use. There had been no good production of arable crops due to rainfall shortage. Businesses collapsed due to Covid 19 lock down crippling the 24 hours economy in our country. However the facility worked day and night serving humanity with minimal incomes. The Challenge was the loss of clients for fear of contracting Covid 19, thus remaining at home and hence loosing cash flow to run the facility efficiently. The fixed Costs remained standstill whereas inflation hit the businesses enterprises. The current challenge still remains Covid 19 with new emergence of Omicron flu. God has taken us this far. Our next year 2022 calendar has various activities and one of them being the Free Medical camp in February 2022. we are glad that, you are almost to realize our budget for the medical camp. our biggest budget will go to the medical supplies followed by medical camp kits for cancer, diabetic and some few equipment's. The facility did not rest and continued currying various activities which are imminence including outreaches to various churches, mother and child Clinic services and vaccination of Covid 19. In this regards therefore, i take this early moment to wish all our supporters, the Missio staff and the head office Happy Christmass and Happy new year 2022. You will see some photos of some current events ongoing this month of December 2021. This includes taking care of our environment, some members of staff who takes care of our patients, Hypertension outreach, child clinic and a make shift Covid 19 vaccination center within the hospital compound.
